Exactly one year ago to date, the mens USA olympic basketball team brought back home the gold, where it should have been all along. Nicknamed the "Redeem Team" they did exactly that, they redeemed the gold medal that they have lost in previous summer olympic games. Led by veterans Kobe Bryant and Jason Kidd the US dominated pool play and cruised their way towards the gold medal game where they faced off against the Lakers very own Pau Gasol and his fellow Spaniards. although defeating Spain by 37 points in qualifying play, Spain kept the game close before falling to the US 118-107.
